Staff Writer

Cars are expensive; everyone can agree on that. But when it comes down to it, it's hard for teenagers to pay for cars themselves without their parents' help; and even if a student can afford a car, chances are he can't buy anything other than a rusted out bucket of bolts that would kill him if he hit a rabbit and probably shut down in the middle of a snowstorm.

If an adult decided one day that he wanted to buy a car, he would have to look at his budget to see if he could afford it. On ething he wouldn't do is call his parents and expect them to pay for it, because part of being an adult is working and paying for things himself.
