Talented students, humor, and variety are wanted for variety show tryouts January 28 and 29.

This year the variety show hopes to showcase the many different types of talents St. Joe students have, according to variety show director, Mrs. Sharon Ingle.

"Humor is always wanted, but is hard to come across because the acts have to be short", said Mrs. Ingle. In past years, there has always been quite a lot of singing and dancing, but according to Mrs. Ingle, singing and dancing is not overdone.

The judges for tryouts are Mr. Tom Hevel, stage director, and Mrs. Ingle. They

are looking for polished acts. "We want to be able to see that the students have practiced," said Mrs. Ingle. Knowing acts line by line is not necessary as long as the act is is clean, added Mrs. Ingle.

The judges would also like younger students to try out for the show. "It's a great way for kids to have experience and practice for future tryouts," said Mrs. Ingle.

Many people have stage fright, explained Mrs. Ingle, but for the students who love being on stage, or want to show their talent, the variety show is a great way to do so.

To tryout for the show, students have to sign up and then show up on January 28 and 29.
